Interned there in 2011..so a while back. The morale about the company wasn't too high at the time, and everyone their complained about the company. Not sure how it is now, but its still a great firm.

Would highly recommend and very respectable, especially their ER division. I have heard that a lot of new analysts in their IB division do jump off to a new firm ASAP, however, this could just be a rumor bruh.

How do you intern and 'then jump' after 6 months ER. The way that sentence is worded doesn't make a whole lot of sense. A - internships dont last for 6 months. B - you cant really 'jump' from an internship like you can a job, unless you mean he left that internship for another internship in the middle.

My mistake, he interned then accepted a FT offer for 6 months and jumped.

lol don't think anyone here has any actual insight - their ER isn't even on the radar, come on...ER is mainly dominated by BBs, especially JPM/BofA.

The fact that he jumped after 6 months hints @ quality of firm - low deal-flow, pitching all the time, high turnover.

I worked for OPCO for two years as an IB analyst and then was laid-off in January after we bought CIBC World Markets. After the deal, lots of MD's from the CIBC side left because they felt it was not going to be a good combination of firms. Very few OPCO bankers were kept and it was a total blow to me that I got laid off. I have heard the its a better platform to do deals with but the culture is a mess as people from both sides seem to not like each other.

Why are you asking, do you have an interview there?
