Background for Event-Driven / Distressed Debt Hedge Funds?

Hey guys,

What's the best background for event-driven or distressed debt hedge funds? I'd assume restructuring for distressed debt, maybe DCM, idk for event-driven...

Thanks for the help,
Yodaddy

IBD (restructuring and M&A) are the most common in my experience, a number of these places like PE experience as well (3rd Point and Glenview have been known hire people from PE, for example).

There have been many great comebacks throughout history. Jesus was dead but then came back as an all-powerful God-Zombie.
