Pitch books - Substantial capital raise

I work for a firm getting ready to do a substantial capital raise and they put me in charge of being the pitch bitch. Never once before at the firm have I had to work with powerpoint, and my experience with it in general pretty much is nil other than some college bs. Basically i am worthless with this program.

I am looking for some good resources on how to put together a professional pitch book, similar to something I would see come out in the form of a Lender's Presentation at a major bank. I know it's been asked before but i didn't see any real good replies, and I know with the amount of you BB bankers out there that have been up till 2 a.m. multiple nights on these things, someone knows where a good resource would be.

Thanks

My bank has a bunch of pre-made PPT templates hidden away in what they call the "marketing resources" section of my workstation. They're kind of BS but are pretty well-designed, so you don't have to worry about the looks at all, just the content. I would recommend that you ask others who have made pitchbooks before for their files, and hopefully that'll get you started - starting from scratch really sucks.

Wall Street leaders now understand that they made a mistake, one born of their innocent and trusting nature. They trusted ordinary Americans to behave more responsibly than they themselves ever would, and these ordinary Americans betrayed their trust.

Not having a company template sucks. Do a search for GS powerpoint so you can get a reference for how it is done. Honestly, I would just throw a nice border around the slide with the companies logo in the corner and call it good. Maybe have the background color a shade of eggshell with romalian type

Thanks for that tidbit leather.

I don't want to put something out that looks like garabage and doesn't do our firm justice, especially if i'm trying to raise capital. It is absolutely my place to determine if something is adequate or not, why the hell else would i be doing this work, because of my "just wing it" view on projects in general? No....
