Please offer any criticism

Hey guys.

Need some help with this thing:

http://www.razume.com/documents/19650

Is there anything I can do to fairly eliminate my undergrad GPA from the resume without seeming too suspicious? All my interviewers keep asking my how my overall GPA is 3.5 but my major GPA is 3.2. They don't seem to understand that they are from different schools.

Next, are the italics too tacky? Eliminate them all? Some? Leave them?

Finally, any ideas on what I should change the title of my trading competition to? It sounds silly now, but I don't know how to edit it. It was part of my portfolio management class.

Anything else you can offer would be great.

Thanks

I would put Undergraduate Major GPA: 3.2, Master's GPA: 3.5. Or something along the lines of that. I would also list Bachelor of Arts, rather than B.A.

Just my two cents.

Sorry for the second post. For the trading competition, put something along the lines of "runner up at BLHABLHALLK Case Competition. I think that with a few formatting changes, it can be very powerful. For my resume, I put something along the lines of:

Winner of ______ Corporation Case Competition (Apr 2011) Project Leader/Team Leader/blah whatever you were - Led unseasoned team of 4 against seven squads with previous experience - blah blah blah

I would not mention that it was for a class.

when I was talking to one of the bankers I work with he was saying how he looks down upon people who put extra curricular experience from way back like boy scouts.

This is just what he said, not what I am saying. I don't know how others think of such things

i think that ones okay, actually-becoming an eagle scout is a big accomplishment, and being the leader is significant. IMO, it's different than putting, "President of High School History Club."

Soild resume. Don't mention that it was a mock portfolio or a class. Also, don't list pre-college experience. Have you considered removing your undergrad school on the resume?

Do you think I can do that?

I've thought about it, but never followed-through. I would give anything to get that 3.2 and no-name school off my resume. Can anyone comment on whether I should leave it, remove the GPA, or remove the school and GPA altogether?
