to be honest, this is pretty bad. Let me break it down for you. There are at least 60% of students from top 35 schools trying to get into either IB or Consulting or whichever one gets there first. And they have at least 3.4 and above. And 3.5 in Harvard/MIT/Princeton/Stern is much better than a 3.8 in UCB/Emory/Vanderbilt.

And most of the top schools i mentioned above have strong alumni bases in NY/HK/London/SG. So even networking will be tough for you, bro... Your best bet is having an affluent family or great finance professors who really like you and are willing to write strong recommendation to his previous students.
