Sales Assistant vs Sales analyst

I know banks often have sales assistants as well as the more traditional first year sales analyst. I know the 2 do similar roles but can anyone shed some light upon the difference of their day to day, and also their career progression. Do the sales assistants move on the same way the analysts do? Thanks

I used search and could not find any more information regarding this. I would be very interested in this topic as well. Bump
