Sending email after information session
Hi everyone,
I have just attended an info session where both HR and employees (mostly vps or above, a few associates) are not giving out their contacts due to "company policy". I guess it is because they do not want their email to be spammed. My performance was average and I did not speak with many of the employees. I have guessed some of their emails and find a few online as well.
Do you think it is appropriate for me to send a thank you note to them? It was an event where we all break down into groups and speak to every employees for a few mins and then we walk around and talk with employees like in regular info sessions. Is it okay to send an email to those I just briefly speak with (quite certain that these people do not remember me)?
Many thanks!
Sounds totally fine to me. They're not expecting any follow-up emails so they'll definitely remember you if you send one.
I am kind of surprised, all of the info sessions I've been to including ones from big firms, people in attendance gave out cards. Generally the point was to figure out who had requisite interest by showing up and then following up, so in that light it seems kind of odd.

Nevermind.
Agreed, Raine Group is sick. They're my top choice too.
Follow up email after informational (Originally Posted: 08/14/2009)
Had an infor this morning with an MD and want to follow up with a thank you. Is it acceptable to ask for a referral to speak with others he knows or not? I don't want it to sound like he wasn't good enough so I want to speak to others....
