Should I omit my total GPA if my major GPA is way higher?
So I have a low 3.1 cumulative GPA but it's because I was not trying in the first 2 years of college and I was on a major that i didn't like, for the 3rd year in college I started a double major in Applied math and Management science and got very good GPA's in those respective majors. But I don't know if I should just include those GPA's in my resume or should I still include the cumulative. Please let me know if a cumulative GPA is absolutely mandatory or if it's a good idea just to provide upper division GPA's that'll look way better. Thank you
You must always put your cumulative GPA. Your major GPA may be added at your discretion.
False. From my experience, if they really want your cumulative GPA, they will ask you during the interview for your cumulative GPA. Put as high a number as you can down (legitimately) and don't look back. You're trying to catch their attention, and a 3.1 cumulative won't do it.
