Sophomore Finance and Physics Major-internship next summer?

Hey everyone, I've done a lot of browsing of WSO and finally created an account to ask a few questions.

(I edited this down)

I'm a sophomore at a semi-target school. I currently have a 3.33 GPA. I'm currently double majoring in Physics and Finance.

Would any physics internships or research this upcoming summer help or hurt me when applying for a finance internship junior-senior summer?

Thanks

Do a single major because a double major doesn't really mean much to employers in my opinion. You're a Sophomore....GET SOMETHING NOW! Build that resume with w/e finance internship you can get that's not cold calling since you won't learn anything from that. The internship that matters the most, the one that will set you up with a job before you graduate, is the one during your Junior year and in order to even compete with the other kids with higher GPA's, you need as much work experience and extracurricular activities as you can fit on your resume.
