Oh I get it bro. So when WE storm the capital and beat a cop to death it's a "riot" and "inappropriate" but when the LIBERALS tear down our countries statues and ban us from Twitter it's "civil protest". F*cking hypocrites I swear bro, I'm the only one that gets it.

A private company can do whatever it wants. Remember the gay wedding cake? #Snowflake bruh get over it, you lost and then cried about it and then your people stormed the capitol in a failed coup and will all rot in prison for treason. None of the participants in the coup were real Americans. They were terrorists. Send them to Guantanamo. #YouSad?

Hey now! Liberals and Conversatives are all the same. Lets all come together as one. We are all more similar than we think.. Remember now, liberals also beat cops to death now. You see they both share similar interest of killing cops.

They’re also both mental 18 year olds with a knack for false parallels. Way more similar than they think.

And when storming of the capitol happened, 95% of conservatives that I know where ashamed and disavowed the event.  Still waiting on the majority of liberals to stop justifying BLM riots.

I have never seen one liberal minded person here post a comment here supporting any BLM violence.  Stop making shit up.

They are excusing violence, rationalizing it, and minimizing it nonstop.  Well it's not that many violent people.......well it's mostly peaceful.....well their cause is legitimate.  It's simple. If you don't stand for violence, say it and that's it.  No explanations necessary. Let's start doing that.

NoEquityResearch is spot on. Not to mention many Democrat governors and mayors calling a violent takeover of city block the “summer of love” and the media saying “who said all protests have to be peaceful?”

This is like asking liberals in the 60s to condemn the civil rights marches of MLK. lol brother you’re gonna go down in history on the wrong side but you know that as well as I do. Keep kicking and screaming snowflake.

You are exactly right and I am sure at the time, it was unpopular but decades we have learned from it and realize that protesting is legit.  MLK did not support violent protests and neither should anyone on this forum.

Not the same at all.  I'm not asking anyone to disavow peaceful BLM protests. The right to protest is great. If someone wants to peacefully protest police brutality, I'll even join them! What I'm against is violence and riots.

What's interesting is that I was recently watching a documentary about civil rights leaders from the 60s and one of the things that the leaders were talking about was how much they were set back by violent protests and riots back then.

The exact same thing is playing out today. When George Floyed was killed, support for BLM went through the roof. When the violence started taking center stage, polls showed a major drop in support. If you support BLM and civil rights, you should be the first person to disavow violent behavior as it hurts the movement.

See one of the polls from back in September below:

Oh, I see, so anecdotal evidence counts?  When the BLM protests escalated into riots, 95% of the liberals I know were ashamed and disavowed the violence.

I guess we're all equal now?  Except for the whole "one group tried to overthrow the government and the other just wanted the police to stop murdering them with impunity" part, I guess...

The Trump cult is thriving on WSO.  BLM has a legitimate cause and it sometimes gets out of control while Trumpists were trying to over throw the US government.  If you do not see how these things are different, I am not sure what to say.

Dude, if Proud Boys went and shot up a black church after organizing on Facebook, our WSO warriors would just respond "but why didn't you say anything when BLM was looting?"

You just can't reason with these people.

Haven't seen your response in the other thread yet? "overthrow US government" what a joke

It's not even the same. One was protesting racial inequality and police brutality after witnessing the murders of blacks across the nation, while the other was a bunch of non-target losers marching on the fucking country's capital - that's fucking insurrection and treason, they need to be tried and hanged.

Non target is a compliment for these people.  I am sure many of them do not even have a high school degree.

For the good of the country, republicans in congress and in his administration, need to convince the POTUS to resign. Impeaching him again just draws more attention to this fiasco.  Going ahead and invoking the 25th amendment would be an embarrassment for the USA.  Resignation was the republican strategy for Nixon for far less egregious offenses.  I am hoping that republican leadership will stand up and persuade him to leave.

Biden takes office in 10 days. There really is 0 need for Trump to resign or be impeached this late into this term...

If you believe that Trump incited and or supported a violent insurrection, then there should be consequences, partly to send a message to future politicians who might act this way.  If you think he acted appropriately, then there would be no need for any consequences,    I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
