Mergers and Acquisitions by Dana Vachon
Worth it for a few hilarious moments. It's the guy's first novel, and it kind of shows, but you take the good with the bad.
Another vote for Liar's Poker - a little dated, but a lot of things still ring true about the culture of trading on Wall Street.
For investment banking, checkout "Bank" by David Bledin. It's a little satirized, but you said you wanted a light read.

it's more about hedge fund, but you see some banker action as well (big shots). very interesting story.
