What does it mean when Buffet says...

Buffet recently said about company valuations in Europe

"Not in the debt space, but in the equity space there are opportunities. I can think of a dozen euro stocks that are attractive ... there are stocks I like and wonderful businesses."

I didn't get the part about the debt space. What does it mean about the "debt space" valuations. Is it about the DCM? Can anyone explain in detail

I'm gonna assume he meant that they wasn't any sovereign debt that appealed to him but he believed that some of that companies themselves would be great to get involved in. ex: don't buy Greek 10 year notes, buy Tesco 200,000 shares.

why does it necessarily have to mean sov debt? If he said "debt space" I'd assume he meant any kind of debt, including corporate?

I don't accept sacrifices and I don't make them. ... If ever the pleasure of one has to be bought by the pain of the other, there better be no trade at all. A trade by which one gains and the other loses is a fraud.
