well he emailed me trying to setup a phone interview, asking me which dates and times i would be available ... i told him any day any time next week ... i left a message on his voicemail but hes the COO so i dont want to bother him ... is there anyone else i should contact ?

i mean, specifically, i said Monday (9/20) and whichever time of the day was most convenient for him ... i simply mentioned that if monday wasn't good i could do any day next week. either way, i graduated from wharton last may im not overly concerned with a firm that wants to reneg on a phone intefview offer simply because i gave him the luxury of choosing what time of the day on monday was most convenient for him. nonetheless, thanks for the advice kbluearmor ... Do you really think though that would be a nail in my interview coffin for transmarket, in your opinion ?

Hey thanks buddy, I was already aware ! And i graduated last May so excuse me for not being up on my career fair schedules. Quit hating, if you have nothing constructive please refrain from commenting on my thread

and that last comment was @ quantmonkey btw ... to jerome marrow, the website has plenty, however many firms will often participate in fairs without an intent to hire, for numerous reasons (firm's rep, etc.). Nonetheless, a more intelligent comment than quant monkey

That is complete bullshit. I work at a prop, have many friends that do, and they are most definitely recruiting. Wharton is one of the main targets for such recruiting--assuming you have an adequate GPA/resume, you should have 0 problem getting interviews.

my whole thing is that i decided post-graduation that i wanted to pursue prop trading as a career ... prior to this, i was mainly interested in working in the trading dept at a BB or something in global markets ... jerome marrow, despite the fact that ive already graduated, do you think it would be a good idea to drive up to philly on the days these firms will have recruiters on campus, or will my chances be just as good if i submit my resume online ?

dude...word of advice, submitting apps online is pretty impossible to get noticed. i don't even bother with that nonsense these days. everything is thru networking and having others hand in your resume for you. or at worst, submitting your resume at a recruiting event so at least ppl can put your face with the name on your resume.

Seriously man, are you retarded? If you apply through your SCHOOL'S recruiting website, it should get noticed just fine. Apply through their websites... absolute crapshoot and not exactly worthwhile. Going and seeing these firms in person will be infinitely better than just submitting it to their website.

The fact that you graduated already is pretty much meaningless for the vast majority of props.
