Exit Opps for PE Directors?
So I was pondering this question the other day because I know I am going to make it to at least the director level if not MP level. What would my exit opps be like if I left the fund at the director level as opposed to waiting the extra year till I make MP. I'm assuming I would get hired as the CEO/CFO at a fortune 500 but someone told me that I may only get Fortune 1000 unless its a Mega fund.
I really appreciate any advice you guys can give since im working on my 30year plan.
I have a serious question here.
When do people start making their own decisions and thinking for themselves without having a structured "exit op"? I'm sure by the time you get to the director level, the autonomy there is on your side and if you have the right contact, you make do whatever else you please.
I'm just extremely baffled by how many people talk about exit opps after the associate level. Everything is not so black and white.
