From HF to Corp Dev.

Are you in HF right now? Why do you want to make the move?
Why would anyone want to do that?
General interest and desire to be back on some transactions. Is it hard to move from hedge funds to corp dev?
I'd think it would be kind of difficult seeing as how corpdev is transaction-focused and HF is markets-focused. I'm sure it depends on the company and group head though, as well. I really don't have a clue tbh, I'm not in-industry
Although it would be difficult and more unique, if you had previous IB experience pre-HF, then you should have a shot. If you can properly pitch your transaction experience, you should be ok. Would help if your HF did more than long-short (i.e. DD or SS), but even there, you can speak to valuation, multiples and justification of assumptions and analysis.
