Which banks party the hardest?

Are there any banks on the street that are well known for things like happy hours, firm events, going out on the weekends, deal celebrations, and a general work hard play hard attitude? Have heard a few things here and there but wanted to make a topic to see if there’s a consensus

Edit - Would be most curious to hear about NY offices, thanks for the info so far!

Also, what do these parties consist of and how can I make sure that I get invited?

Mind sharing stories or general idea? If this office gets as badly crushed as most people say, do they really find the time lmfao

“Party hard” because it’s a bunch of asian nerds who’ve never been to a club before working there

friend at JPM S&T (European office) goes out with their team and they go fking hard

Nobody parties with their coworkers these days, we party with our idiot college friends and maybe invite one or two work connections who we know are cool, can keep secrets and don't snapchat everything they see on a night out.

with WFH I never party with coworkers outside of the occasional happy hour

That must be the RE brokerage roots. My REPE / CRE friends at private, mid-sized firms still get loaded with their coworkers. I've been to a few of their socials.

I'd imagine it has to do with the fact that private real estate doesn't have the burden of regulatory compliance (which inevitably overreaches)

Why party with people at my bank? I’d much rather go out with my real friends and maybe a few other cool junior coworkers once in a while.

Keep your social life separate.

Tobin and Co. Why? Because JUSTINE TOBIN grabbed my ERECT COCK at the company christmas party

Who the fuck cares about this kind of stuff. This is one of the weirdest things I have seen someone ask here when it comes to picking a group / firm. Even as a 21 year old, it would not make any sense to ask these dumb ass questions. Seriously. Dumb. These party days that you allude to were pre financial crisis from what I understand, I am not that old, but when I was an analyst 7-9 years ago, the only time (s) our group would organize any of these events (expensive dinner followed with a night out at some fancy club, go karting etc.) was when a VDR firm would take us out to win our business, and pay for our night. I was kind of the group representative for a few months, where they'd email me, but you felt kind of sleezy, as you really weren't a decision-maker here (it was the VPs/Staffers, but they were reasonably busy to not have their time wasted, yet didn't want to miss out at the prospect of a free night), so guess what they dispatched an analyst. I have no idea how I ended up becoming the point-person, I never really went out looking for it, and it was certainty not something that went on my resume.

It's not a thoughtful question. You'll get closer to the analysts (with whom you can go out separately, group culture doesn't determine that), and very, very select Associates/VPs. Really the only people who care about going out are the analysts. Rest really don't , as it's actually a pain in the ass to show up. You want to get your work done and get out ASAP. There was a senior D in my team, who was great and really likeable, but he hadn't been to any team event in the last 4/5 years. I'd rather be like him than the guy in this 30s, who hangs out with a bunch of college graduates, but that's not to say there isn't a shortage of the second camp. It's just creepy and looser-ish AF.

Lmao dude sorry not everyone is a hardo like you. I have heard multiple stories, from very recent years, of firms that have the atmosphere that I described. To me sounds like a much more fun atmosphere to work in.

Thank you to all the 1st and 2nd year analysts MS-ing me. I believe the maturity of analysts has gone down tremendously since then. I don't remember these kind of questions being asked on this forum back in 2010/11.
