Introduction and target school question
Hey everyone,
I've been lurking around WSO for quite some time and I feel like I could benefit from joining in on discussions.
I'm a 17 year old High School senior in Washington State who's interested in IBD and compsci, preferring more the latter.
The most convenient school to attend after I graduate HS is the University of Washington. I know this isn't a target, but is it at least a decent school from which one could break into IBanking?
Convenience can't really be taken into account when you are trying to break into banking. It is possible to break in from Washington but going there will be the beginning of digging yourself into a hole that will be tough to get out of
I also applied to Ivey (UofWesternOntario), Queen's, Waterloo, UToronto, and UBC because I'm a Canadian citizen under H1 Visa or something. As such, I can't apply to American schools outside of Washinton because I'm not entitled to financial aid.
Would any of those Ontario schools be better than UW if I want to eventually do banking in NYC?
Ivey/Uofwesternontario is the best option
