Name your top shows.

In light of the movies thread, I’m trying to find the next show for me to watch. Here’s mine:

  • Succession

  • Ray Donovan

  • Vikings

  • Mad Men

  • Billions (what finance wannabe would I be without it)

  • Ozark

Honorable Mentions:

  • Suits (really started to dislike Mike Ross)

  • Sons of Anarchy

  • Boardwalk Empire (could’ve been better IMO)

Most Helpful

Breaking Bad, Black Mirror, Bojack Horseman, Better Call Saul

Lost Seasons 1-3 are great. Seasons 4-6 are painful, and I felt the show lost its direction at the beginning of S4. Did you feel the same?

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at

I liked every season. I’ve seen all the seasons maybe 10 times. I have it as background noise sometimes playing poker or indoor cycling.

Hot Take: Billions went downhill substantially after the first two seasons and is corny af

That's fair, it wasn't that good after Season 2.

EDIT: Good variety in that lineup.

Is it just me or are you also feeling some serious Game of Thrones nostalgia? Maybe it's the approaching summer time or whatever, who knows

Also, good list - big fan of Altered Carbon (S1) and Witcher

HunterxHunter is solid too, although personally liked Naruto better. If you're an anime guy, some good shows: Fire Force / Jujutsu Kaisen / One Punch Man (S1 is legendary)

GOT (S1-S4)

Ozarks

Drive to Survive

Simpsons (Pre 2005)

Peaky Blinders

Succession

Ballers (depends on the mood, but thought it was entertaining)

Billions (First 2 seasons only, the show has gotten just terrible now)

Nobody here mentioned Entourage. Great show except the last season was dull.

The Knick

Fuck yeah, that was amazing. Was really hoping a new season was in the works, but I think that's officially over.

Shank Tank

I like Shark Tank too and think VC is really cool. It would be nice to have such a large diversified portfolio like them so that they can afford to make mistakes.

I second blacklist. Good show. A little crazy now but the earlier seasons were amazing.

Some notable ones that haven't been mentioned:

The X Files

SpongeBob SquarePants (Seasons 1-3 are top tier television and I will not hear otherwise)

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at

The Expanse (SciFi)

F1 Drive to Survive (Reality)

Peep Show (British Comedy)

Shark Tank (Finance, if you miss the small companies and less drama, check out the quaint UK and Canada version 'Dragon's Den')

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Shocked that several of the below haven't been mentioned yet:

Community (S1-3)

HIMYM (S1-5)

Scrubs

Silicon Valley (S1-2)

Game of Thrones

Avatar TLA

Entourage

Designated Survivor

Billions (S1-2)

Altered Carbon (S1)

The Boys

The Witcher

Top 10 for me:

Breaking Bad (amazing from start to finish)

Game of Thrones (would be the best if not for last two seasons)

Lost (I’m one of the few people who liked the latter seasons and the ending)

24 (most fun to watch)

The Americans (top quality)

Ozark (also really fun)

Stranger Things (fun as well)

Succession (potential to be one of the best shows, curious to see if it will maintain it’s high level)

House of Cards (except the last season)

Homeland (had many great moments)

For sitcoms - the office, friends, modern family, himym

Still several shows on my list to watch though - sopranos, wire, shield, mad men, among others

Psych

Archer

30 Rock

Veep is fucking hysterical

Brooklyn-99

It's always sunny in philadelphia

Money Heist (Killing off my favorite character in the most recent season was actually a real bummer)

Community - watching it now and I've found it pretty entertaining

Burn Notice - I don't care how absurd it gets, I loved it

Narcos - Original & Mexico

Trailer Park Boys
