I'm not sure what career I should pursue?

Hello I am a junior at Fordham University. I am double majoring in finance/math with a 3.6 GPA. I have no internship experience or anything. I like trading because of the freedom to be anywhere in the world. I want to live and work in Hawaii. I'm not sure what career I should pursue. I wouldn't mind working on wall street at a hedge fund or something like that, but i'm not expecting it.

 

I'm also from a nontarget so don't take this as nontarget bashing (even if you were from HYP I'd say the exact same thing) but frankly, you have a lot of research left to do (based on the tone of your post) before you're capable of breaking into any of those fields. Trading and the HF space are pretty damn competitive sir. When you say you just want to be anywhere and work in Hawaii, but wouldn't MIND a HF, to me that spells unmotivated.

 

Sorry about my tone im just having a down kinda day... No im very ambitious and confident that i will break into trading or hedge funds but i need a realistic backup plan incase things don't work out.
