Salary negotiation
Hi folks - I have been offered a Sr Asso role in the Middle East with a medium sized fund, fairly new shop so nothing is too defined. The base comp offered is $10k below what I was expecting. Should I try to negotiate or just move on and accept it?

what benchmark are you comparing against to say it's 10k lower than expected?

$10k low? Are we talking $140 vs. $150 or $190 vs. $200? Are you an expat?
I generally think if you want the job then ask for what you want and if they say no then just take it. It’s really not that much money in the scheme of things.
