Fundamentally, I am not excited and I think that is going to be your biggest hurdle. Also, what is your story? Why do you want to do investment banking?

Unfortunately, I think the answer in many of the places you listed is going to be a "No." I would look at more boutique shops to break into the industry. Best of luck!

Why don't you like your current job? And BigJumbo is spot on - what is your story?

The resume thread about 10 below this one features a sophomore, that IMO, has a better, more competitive resume that shows drive and passion for IB.

From what I have gathered, if you are not a current student, your experience should be at the top.

I would take off your cum GPA and keep concentration GPA.

I wouldn't put a GPA on my resume unless it was at least above a 3.5

Updated the original post to include more of my story.

I agree that my resume is not particularly exciting, but I believe that my excitement really comes out when I talk with people in the industry. I have been told that multiple times before. So again, I think if I'm given the chance I can make this happen.

About the GPA, I included cumulative because it is pretty close to 3.5. I would rather an interviewer know what it is, even if it's below 3.5, than assume that it is a 3.0 or something. Also, I see this as a non-issue because I won't be applying through the online application avenue, but through alumni networking.

Thanks for your thoughts so far; other comments are appreciated.

I don't think it's that bad of a resume. Will JPM and GS come knocking? Probably not. However, I think you could have success getting a couple interivews with some smaller middle market banks, and perhaps eventually land a position if you hit it off with the interviewers. I think a few months in commecial banking is a good thing, but like mentioned above, you probably need to be able to discuss with people the reason you took that job, what you like and dislike about it, and why you want to move on.
