Target High School Rankings

Hi all, I was hoping to create this list for 2023, with the amount of BBs and EBs coming on campus for recruiting during lunch and break. With banks already extending offers for SA 2027 and sophomore SA 2028, I think it’s time we ranked the high schools.

What do y'all think? Let me know and I will make the edits if they're generally agreed upon.

Congrats on Choate. Deerfield S+ easily u non-target nerd

Working to implement everyones feeback. We need to get this right so the high schoolers have access to the top BBs/EBs for OCR during lunch period

Any school within an hour of NYC should be towards the top of the list.

Wow, that's kinda crazy. Just combed through Linkedin and they have more IB alumni than my college.

Been removed from HS for a while, but my two cents:

From my experience Regis should be bumped up to S++, along with Chaminade. Didn't know a thing about Chaminade or Regis before I started in IB but I've worked with a couple alumni- the network and how much they were willing to do for fellow grads was unreal. Better than a lot of colleges I've seen.

I know that thus thread was started as a joke, but for anyone recruiting if you went to any of these schools: Keep in touch with you HS alumni network.

For any of you bruhs out there wondering if golden handcuffs are real, let me tell you it's definitely worth it to be chained to your job so you can afford to pay off 2x prep school fees for your kids. I, myself, am a public school grad (non-stuy or equiv) and can attest that life is so shit on the other side it's unreal 😹😹 (despite going to a top targ)

Choate is the definition of Wall Street. There are buildings literally named after Carl Icahn, The Mellon Family, etc. S++ for sure

Ok buddy, OP move Choate back down there it is no where near Exeter/Andover

Guys, just because some catholic high school on long island sent a couple guys to Harvard does not put them in the same league as Andover and Exeter. It's not even close - E/A each send 20-30 to Harvard, out of a ~300 person class. Idk what charmander is but let's not get things twisted because they help each other get internal auditing jobs.

It sure as shit is a good indication of the strength of the the high school. But if we’re gonna be pedantic, E/A both send well over 100 each year to ivys + MIT/Stanford/other Wall Street targets. The only schools that match that are Stuyvesant, trinity, collegiate, Harvard westlake, maybe a few others like Deerfield - not some place where most go to BC or Loyola

I'd bump KCD up to semi-target, as they punch heavily above their weight for being in Louisville. They have many Bloomberg terminals, CapIQ/PitchBook access, and two year-long classes, one on global private equity and the other on investment banking/financial modeling.

You guys think this is funny but I actually know at least two kids at my semi-target that got offers at banks that don’t normally recruit from our school because of high school connections from Chaminade and Regis.
