Target High School Rankings
Hi all, I was hoping to create this list for 2023, with the amount of BBs and EBs coming on campus for recruiting during lunch and break. With banks already extending offers for SA 2027 and sophomore SA 2028, I think it’s time we ranked the high schools.
What do y'all think? Let me know and I will make the edits if they're generally agreed upon.

Congrats on Choate. Deerfield S+ easily u non-target nerd
Deerfield should be in S+. Trinity should be bumped to S++ - not just prestigious but the Trinity alumn are def smarter than the Choate and Regis crowd. Groton should be bumped down to S - while the school's prestige is up there, my God does Groton produce some of the dumbest MFs out there.
St. Paul’s and Milton are way too low. Avon and Taft are not great lol, those schools are for dumb rich kids, or kids who get kicked out of Andover.
No Roxbury Latin? No Thomas Jefferson?
Chaminade not even ranked? List blows.
Harker? Harvard-Westlake? Thacher? Missing most of the big West Coast targets
Working to implement everyones feeback. We need to get this right so the high schoolers have access to the top BBs/EBs for OCR during lunch period
comments above are right. deerfield milton and st. paul’s higher avon and taft lower
Any school within an hour of NYC should be towards the top of the list.
Greenwich HS + Greenwich private schools are also towards the top of the list. Built-in network with your friends' parents
Chaminade Guy I work with told me they have 20+ Bloomberg terminals. Strong alumni base as well.
Went there can confirm
I’m from the NY area… no f-ing clue this was true. But have noticed quite a few chaminade alumni around lol
Lets go Culver! Sick lax team
Chaminade has their own LinkedIn called Chaminade Connect. Didn’t believe it until I looked it up. Alum basically j feed other alum jobs through that.
Wow, that's kinda crazy. Just combed through Linkedin and they have more IB alumni than my college.
Been removed from HS for a while, but my two cents:
From my experience Regis should be bumped up to S++, along with Chaminade. Didn't know a thing about Chaminade or Regis before I started in IB but I've worked with a couple alumni- the network and how much they were willing to do for fellow grads was unreal. Better than a lot of colleges I've seen.
I know that thus thread was started as a joke, but for anyone recruiting if you went to any of these schools: Keep in touch with you HS alumni network.
You guys are so fucking weird
Congrats on public school
And yet we'll still be working on the same desk, funny how that works out
Bryn Mawr? the one in Baltimore MD??
Nah their Investment Club only cares about ESG
For any of you bruhs out there wondering if golden handcuffs are real, let me tell you it's definitely worth it to be chained to your job so you can afford to pay off 2x prep school fees for your kids. I, myself, am a public school grad (non-stuy or equiv) and can attest that life is so shit on the other side it's unreal 😹😹 (despite going to a top targ)
I've seen a lot of Delbarton alums at the top of the NYC world. From what I understand Delbarton is the NJ equivalent of Chaminade?
Look at the top feeder schools for target universities and which high schools have early career internships if you want to make an accurate list.
You’re leaving out Brunswick
Del
Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Brooklyn Tech, Boston Latin
Mfs posting about high schools that cost 60k to scrape 6 figures after college 🗿
Regis is free, Chaminade is like 10k
ironic
Georgetown Prep, Sidwell, Gonzaga, Landon, St. Andrews, St. Albans. You missed the heartland of American politics and lacrosse
Hello trust fund kids
Well that’s the interesting part of this list. Regis is free. Chaminade is 15k p.a., and others are not as costly. But yes some are effectively college tuitions 🤣
Haha was just messing around as a public school guy, but that’s pretty cool actually. Might have to look into the lower cost options if I have kids one day!
Choate is the definition of Wall Street. There are buildings literally named after Carl Icahn, The Mellon Family, etc. S++ for sure
Ok buddy, OP move Choate back down there it is no where near Exeter/Andover
Forgot Brashear (PA) in S+ tier
Hunter College HS might be public but I feel like it's gotta be above at least a few of the names on your list

Guys, just because some catholic high school on long island sent a couple guys to Harvard does not put them in the same league as Andover and Exeter. It's not even close - E/A each send 20-30 to Harvard, out of a ~300 person class. Idk what charmander is but let's not get things twisted because they help each other get internal auditing jobs.
Harvard is the only place investment banks hire from?
It sure as shit is a good indication of the strength of the the high school. But if we’re gonna be pedantic, E/A both send well over 100 each year to ivys + MIT/Stanford/other Wall Street targets. The only schools that match that are Stuyvesant, trinity, collegiate, Harvard westlake, maybe a few others like Deerfield - not some place where most go to BC or Loyola
I went to Loomis and I think it at least deserves to be mentioned
I'd bump KCD up to semi-target, as they punch heavily above their weight for being in Louisville. They have many Bloomberg terminals, CapIQ/PitchBook access, and two year-long classes, one on global private equity and the other on investment banking/financial modeling.
Good to see Latin (chi) up there. A true powerhouse of the Midwest. Unreal pipeline to Chicago shops.
shoutout loomis lmao. also avon old farms is trash, F tier

Missing quite a few. Belmont Hill, St. Sebastian's, Haverford, and Nobles to name a few
Ngl this list is pretty useful for my future kids. What are the options with lowest cost here?
You guys think this is funny but I actually know at least two kids at my semi-target that got offers at banks that don’t normally recruit from our school because of high school connections from Chaminade and Regis.
This has to be one of the funniest things I've seen on this forum
Andover is not good for academics. Top target for hockey though!
