Accenture question

So I'm going in for my third round for Accenture. It worked out last year that I made 1st/2nd round but they didnt offer me for a summer internship... "limited spots" but they will let me bypass the 1st/2nd round again for the third round. This is an in office one and I'm wondering if there is a case interview. Basically, I'm wondering how the structure will be... just fit questions.. how many interviews, etc, etc.

what group are you interviewing for?

assuming this is for an entry level analyst position, they only ask behavioral/fit questions. case studies are only for the strategy group.

So I went on my final round

So I went on my final round interview with Accenture in the LA office on Friday (10/3). They said it takes like 2-3 weeks to hear back. Is that really true or do they only just say that. I figure they would contact the ones qualified like within a week right? Why do they take so long?

Offers can take anywhere

Offers can take anywhere from the day of the interview to a month. 2-3 weeks is the standard answer, and it mainly depends on market demand for the office you're applying for. If there's no space in the LA office for someone with your background, then they'll look to see at other offices if they can take you in which takes a while. I wouldn't take it personally, but figure you won't hear back from them for another 2-3 weeks.

So if they want to hire me

So if they want to hire me but the LA office is full then they'll actively look to put me in another office? But what if they dont know my other office preferences?

So it's been almost 6 weeks

So it's been almost 6 weeks since I interviewed with Accenture... tomorrow makes it 6. It could be 5 but I'm not sure since so much time has passed. At the 3 week mark, they emailed me informing me they were still deciding. I emailed a followup about a week after and they said they still had no updates regarding my application. What is going on? Are they willing to hire me but just unsure how the market will turn out? What is going on? Does anybody have any insight?

I know nothing about

I know nothing about Accenture specifically - but it sounds like you may be on a waitlist.

I'll be honest with you -

I'll be honest with you - you probably aren't going to get an offer so I hope you have something else lined up. The # of offers are extremely...and I mean extremely low this year considering the # of schools that Accenture recruits from in SoCal. This economy is really affecting everybody and layoffs are just starting to kick up...

Best of luck to you.
