Application question for Barclays Investment Banking Boot Camp
Hey guys,
I'm looking to apply to Barclay's "Wall Street Scholars Investment Banking & Global Markets Boot Camp."
However, I have two questions regarding the Boot Camp that I was hoping to receive some thoughts on:
1) Is this program only open for minorities? On their website, it falls under "Diversity and Inclusion Recruitment." However, it mentions nothing about diversity under the eligibility requirements. Adding to the confusion, another user on WSO recommended applying to the Barclays boot camp in question (the poster he was addressing was presumably not a "diverse" candidate).
2) I'm going through their online application portal, and there isn't an option to specifically apply to the program in question. Instead, it seems like I'm relegated to submitting a general investment banking application.
Does anybody have any insight into this, or know if it's possible to specify that I'm applying to the Investment Banking Boot Camp and not to their summer analyst program?
Thanks for any help!
If you're considering for applying for it online - your already not qualified.
Programs like these are meant for freshman and sophomores at target schools (primarily ivies, Stanford, MIT) with stellar backgrounds. The online app is a formality and is used to streamline the process for those target kids so HR doesn't have to deal with filling out a bunch of online forms for them.
My recommendation is don't waste your time.
