Are these loafers considered dressy?
I have a gift certificate to JCPenney's and I want to snag a pair of decent loafers to accompany my only other pair of dress shoes: some nice black J&M oxfords.
I dig the tassels, and these Florsheim's are what I believe are the best quality available at the online Penney's store:

I am planning to get the burgundy color in either shoe. Which one looks more dressy and conservative in your opinion? Why?
If it helps I have one navy suit, one charcoal suit, and one navy blazer with plenty of different slacks.

Get horsebits
The Pisa is certainly the better looking shoe, but JC Penney probably won't have a range of widths, so it has to come down to which fits you better. Nothing worse than uncomfortable dress shoes.
Also, they'll look more natural with a blazer and slacks than with a suit, though you can pull off the latter on occasion.
I would pistol whip you if you rocked up with shoes like that.
Yeah, I would focus on simple black or brown shoes. As mentioned above, you might want to go with oxfords.
dig in those pockets and invest in horsebits.
The fake crocodile is not the better looking of the two. Looks like something you'd see at the prom in Compton.
If you go loafers, go horsebit or something like the AE westchester. Maybe get some new towels or something with your giftcard.
I'll probably snag the Pisa's in burgundy then. I definitely plan to wear with the blazer/slacks, but wanted to know if there was flexibility for anything dressier.
Horsebits are the standard and eventually I'll grab a pair but for now I gotta use my JCPenney giftcards!

Personally, I like the second option and you could definitely wear those with slacks and a coat. Not a huge fan of the first ones.
