What about the CEO of Foxconn? Terry Gou hopes you will wait for the iPhone 5 to be released. According to a Wired.com article, Terry Gou is quoted, saying the new iPhone will put Samsung's Galaxy S3 to shame.

He then proceeds to trash Koreans in a comparison to the Japanese. "I respect the Japanese and especially like their execution and communication styles. Unlike the Koreans, they will not hit you from behind.

The blog, Kotaku.com, reported in Foxconn Honcho Slams Koreans that:

Japanese blogs are reporting that Gou used the Chinese slur, "gaoli bangzi" (sometimes translated as "Korean country hicks" and literally "Korean sticks")..."
  • Have you overheard your boss/co-workers talking like this?
  • Do they bad-mouth the competition? Rival firms?
  • Can Lloyd Blankfein and Jamie Dimon talk smack like this?

Bullshit.

The Japanese won't hit you from behind? This is the culture where it is acceptable to say one thing to a non-Japanese person and then do the exact opposite thing behind their back because they're not Japanese and therefore "not on the same team so it doesn't count." Gou = clown show. If you're going to talk shit, at least try to know what you're talking about.

Lots of small caps smack talk on conference calls or in private. It's usually a bad sign if it's in public. At a minimum it's bad form, but in my experience it also speaks negatively to the quality of management.

On the other hand, companies who say "we're in a very competitive market" -- you can usually assume that means they are not the most competitive in the market lol.

My favorite is when C-level executives smack talk Wall Street analysts, particularly from the sell side. "No, that guy is an idiot, you can ignore his reports." LOOOL

I actually prefer candid management to the sugar-coated, even in public. It might come across as offensive to some people but that just makes the stock cheaper for those of us who can look past it. I've heard so much shit talk from companies in regards to sell-side guys and all that. I was talking to a CEO like two days ago actually who called one of the foremost analysts covering his industry a "short little faggot with no dick" and I can't say I disagreed hahaha.

By the way, the Japanese will totally hit you from behind. Remember that thing with the planes and stuff? They got us good that time.

The Japanese sure hit us from behind in 1941

You actually believe the Japanese didn't inform the U.S. government?? At that time, U.S. citizens did not want to be involved in another war. However the government wanted to and decided to let the Japanese attack Pearl Harbour pretending that it was a surprise attack.

Well, that is just my opinion.

"Smith Barney? What the fuck is that, retail?"

Anyone have more lines like this?

Analyst: "Raymond James has had a buy rating on them for years."

PM: "Where does he work? Get his ass on the phone."

PM: "We lose 3% last quarter and all the sudden UBS thinks it's okay to call me?"

Placed my pre-order for the Galaxy S3 on Verizon about 2 weeks ago. Shit like this doesn't make me regret throwing down the money at all. It just shows that these guys are legitimately scared of how big a dent Samsung can make in their market share. These guys are just like politicians. Got nothing constructive to say? No problem, bashing their character with completely off-base stereotypes will do the trick.
