CSAM run a number of strategies in a couple of groups, both internally-managed and as a fund-of-funds. Do you have any more details on what you're applying for?

I have an interview with Credit Suisse Alternative Investments next week...I applied for "Distribution and Strategy" which is "product development and sales through strategic initiatives across AM funds"

The AM Funds being Liquids (hedge funds which trade equities, credit, and commodities) and Illiquids (private equity and real estate).

My responsibilities are: • Develop the overall product marketing plan with sales teams • Help with product development and channel strategy across AM • Obtain feedback from the sales team and maintain investor interest database • Provide critical distribution feedback to fund managers

What kinds of questions (more on the "technical side") should I expect for my interview? I am really at loss as to how to prepare and any advice/info would be greatly appreciated...Thanks so much!

Kenny, they don't just do the hedge funds. CSAM also houses their PE funds (The last vestigages of the DLJ name oddly enough), MACS - Multi Asset Class Solutions (read: Custom Portfolio group), and Volaris or whatever the hell they call it now (Volatility and Options Management and Trading Strategies). They have a Muni Porfolio Group that's under CSAM as well.

The answer to your question Jolisa, is that it depends on what group in CSAM you are working for. If you end up interning in Volaris, it's going to be a very technical interview. If you are doing MACS, you may be getting a more technical interview or a more fit interview depending on where in MACS you are being placed. Same goes for all of the groups at CSAM. Without knowing what you are going for, it makes it kind of hard to accurately give you advice.

Frieds, didn't mean to say it was HF only, though (as you pointed out) the PE is branded differently including the DLJ arms.
