Did not declare 2nd major, but put in on Resume. Am I in trouble?

I put down Economics and Accounting as my double majors. I am going to start as a summer intern in a Back Office position where Accounting is more relevant than Economics, but I have not declared Accounting as my major. I have taken the intro Acct courses and registered for the Intermediate level Acct classes.

Will I get into trouble with the Background check?

Edit: I just finished my sophomore year.

People make it in to the C suite all the time doing that. No biggie.

I don't see that as a problem at all. Not every sophomore knows exactly what they'll be graduating with, and if for some reason this would come up with the background search, just let them know that the second major is still being processed, but that is your intent. No one will care. At this point, that's all your college info is - your intent.

If you've graduated and you're saying you have a major you don't, that's unethical, but you can still work for Yahoo.

Assuming you wrote "Expected 2014", and assuming you currently expect to graduate with a double major in 2014, then what's the problem?

You're fine.
