So he only received 20% of his previous years bonus because he got fired by Merril and now is suing for not getting enough.
Im sorry, but 2.3 million should be enough of a discretionary bonus, especially when its basically a severence package, for someone to stfu.

Who knows how much money this guy made for the firm, and how much this guy sacrificed to make it.
Besides, an 80% decrease? Common... you would be sueing too.

If you can sue go for it. I am sure Merrill would sue if the shoe was on the other foot. Sadly, it never pays to be a nice guy in business.
It's in proportion... It's exactly the same as someone suing for 20k not being enough of the 100k he was promised...
