I wish I knew about buy-side finance when I was 15 instead of 25, but here I am now, and must break in.

Never cut yourself short because you think you are too old. Life is not a race and every path is different.

For reference (albeit, it's cliché) Chris Gardner was about 27 when he decided he wanted to work in finance. (I suggest reading the book and not watching the movie if you want the real story)

In 1976, James Hunt broke the sound barrier through Eau Rouge only to retire before the event finished... following the race he had sex with three Belgian nurses at the clubhouse near La Source.

Thanks James Hunt for the support.

I accept the fact that I have a late start. I even had BB internship offer back in 2006, when I was a junior, and market was so hot that banks will take in competent non-finance people. I foolishly declined the offer to pursue scientific research. lol.

I hope to do everything I can to catch up, including unpaid internships, taking modeling courses, studying for the CFA to show my seriousness, etc.

I would imagine my employability increase after passing CFA level 2.

I guess my best bet is Chris Gardner-style pavement pounding? I am still looking for that one elusive "yes" to get the snowball rolling.
