Know your deals and more
Know your deals and more importantly know why you want to work at a hedge fund and specifically why you want to work in a particular discipline (L/S, event driven, macro, etc.).

Be able to talk about your investing style and how that fits with the types of funds you are targeting. Know your immediate goals and plans and have conviction on your geography. Have good answers for why you left each job if you've left them, and have references ready to go that they can contact.
They basically want to hear you know what you are doing, and you'll show well for the funds they put you in front of.
I prepped a few investment ideas as well to bring along as sample work product.
Good luck!
if you like it then you shoulda put a banana on it
Most of the conversations
Most of the conversations will be background. If you are meeting with a hedge fund focused recruiter though (eg Dynamics) they will ask you more investing questions and you might have to pitch a stock idea. You should convey your (1) strong interest in investing and (2) you're desire only to work at HF vs. PE. Hedge funds don't want someone who is considering PE and the recruiters will be less reluctant to send you as many HF job opportunities if they don't think you are 100% focused on HFs.
