I balanced it out for you. LinkedIn tells me that this summer, Fordham placed IB analysts into:
...and those are just the people I'm 2nd and 3rd connections with. Also, people with Fordham undergrads getting their MBA have summer associate roles at Goldman and JP Morgan.
I wouldn't say Fordham's a target, but obviously you can make it happen. Network, keep your grades up, and go kick some ass.
The short answer is yes, you can make it into IB from Fordham, but be prepared to work your ass off.
Thanks for the feedback, I am definitely ready to work harder than I ever had before, I've just read a lot about people with sophomore internships that I didn't have that freaked me out about my future, but I'm going to try to get one during junior year so I have some experience before I apply for a summer internship.
