How to Break into TMT Banking from Non-CS Major
If a student comes from a finance/accounting/economics major in undergrad and wants to seek a position in an investment bank's TMT group, what would be recommended to prepare for the sector to compete against computer science/engineering majors who may be applying? Would anyone recommend learning specific languages? I appreciate all the advice
I know a few people in TMT and none of them need/use programming or anything like that. As far as I know, it could be a plus, but you should concentrate more on finance technical stuff and industry knowledge. Best of luck!
Bro, you don't need to have an MD to be a IB HC analyst.
Get an offer at a bank and focus your networking on the TMT group. No STEM degree needed.
