Interesting

Just posted this in another forum, but thought more people would be interested in it. This list is a comprehensive list of 2006 analysts at a BB (Not GS/MS, but hands down BB).

I hope this helps.

Roller4Life:
not surprising at all.

A list for ibanking analysts dominated by schools such as Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Wharton, Darmouth etc....

TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T ALREADY KNOW

The schools you list only make up a small part of the entire contingency. There are a significant number of non traditional schools listed.

Next time you make a brash comment, take a little time to think.

I'm a UPenn undergrad and I actually heard my sophmore year here that Georgetown puts more undergrads on Wall-Street than any other school in the country. I thought that was the school to go to for the political science/law school/capitol hill crowd, but I guess it's a wall street power house too, this list certainly corroborates that.

ML b/c they're the only BB that doesn't recruit analysts at Michigan. I didnt see any MIchigan kids on that list. Funny how only 1 person is from Harvard.

Georgetown doesn't place the most kids on Wall St. Hands down, it's Wharton or Harvard.

3rd year - I just responded in the other forum. I think the Harvard data is flawed, but for all intents and purposes the list is comprehensive.

True Bulge

WTF does true bulge mean? You have a true bulge in your pants? NAME the bank.

Look at the post right above mine by 3rd year - I was using his terminology

Good call.

I guess the only explanation I can give is that not everyone was on the facebook at the time I compiled the list. Therefore, while it certainly does not contain anyone that shouldn't be on there, there may be others that are not included on the list.

bb.MandA.3rdyear:
That's not UBS, they hire from some toronto school alot.
sexonwax:
your list is UBS isn't it

I think it is UBS. They hire from a Canadian school, mostly for the West Coast offices - that school is University of Western Ontario ("Western"). I don't think they hire from UT.

other than HYPWharton, the other ivies aren't so hot. Only 2 people from most of other schools and NONE from Brown. I'm also surprised only 1 person from Chicago and not many from Stanford.
Or, as aspiring mentioned in a prior post, not everyone in bateman's class might have put their name in the analyst facebook.

Although, it would be pretty strange if just the analysts from certain schools neglected to do this.

bmwhype:
this thread is fucking worthless

yeah, maybe we should find a way to include Binghamton in there to make this thread worthwhile. These are ostensibly official lists of incoming analysts' schools. Since a lot of people on this forum are interested in knowing what their odds are at landing an IB gig from their school, they would probably find this list of some utility.
