Interview Style by Firm (MBB)
Hi!
Curious; how does the interview process differ by MBB firm (style-wise) and what do each of them look for in undergrad hires in context of the interview?
Thanks!

They all look for similar things? Different offices have different company culture, although I would say that McKinsey is a little more "academic." Style-wise, you can expect the interview process to be similar not only across MBB firms, but at firms like ATK, LEK and Strategy& too. Behavioural into case.
Can only comment on McK and Bain.
McK: cases are broken down into different components/questions, and are interviewer-led, so you just need to answer each question the interviewer asks you. Will typically ask only a single behavioral question, but probed for great detail.
Bain: cases are more interviewee-led, so the way you structure the case in the beginning becomes more important, because you will be using the structure you built to drive the answer through the entire case. Will have more behavioral questions, but total time spent on it will be the same as Mck.
