Liberty Lane Partners LLC - Has anyone heard of them?
Does anyone know anything about Liberty Lane Partners? They're recruiting at my school for OCR, for a Private Equity Summer Analyst position, but there is no job description and their company website doesn't say much.
Can someone point me in the direction of where I could find info on them? Or does anyone know anything about them!?
Thanks

Not much detail about them other than what was posted above off CapIQ and I've never heard of them. Looks like they do roughly a deal per year (over the last 7) with one acquisition and one sale this year.
Healthcare is a big focus.
LLP was set up by the former executives of Fisher Scientific after the merger with Thermo Electron (now Thermo Fisher Scientific: TMO). Montrone (CEO) and Meister (CFO) spent years growing Fisher through M&A. They are titans of the life sciences / healthcare industry.
They set up a SPAC with GS when first starting out, which was eventually withdrawn due to the tough economic environment. Their small team is misleading to their capabilities. They partnered with Thomas H Lee to co-fund Inventiv Health, which is now run by Meister. Inventiv has already grown into a several billion dollar company under Meister's management.
I worked on something with them briefly a couple years ago. I think you'll get a lot of exposure (especially in modelling) as a summer analyst, judging by how much responsibility the VP had on our deal. I personally don't think I would click with the group's personality, but it's a great SA opportunity in my opinion...
What do you guys think is a better summer internship - BB in NYC or Liberty Lane?
They give American jobs to China! I don't like them at all, bad leadership. P.S. Mallory Marine was sold and workers laid off.
Liberty Lane Advisors.. anyone knows anything about them? (Originally Posted: 08/25/2011)
