You can't trust Milbank Roy - just ask some of the former employees about unpaid salary, failure to reimburse expenses, and failure to live up to promises of equity. As an unpaid intern expecting a bonus forget it - this group has a track record of failing to honor verbal commitments.
I had an interview there 2 weeks ago. I graduated this year from a non-target and had some MS middle office experience, but they wanted someone with transactional experience already.
I met 2 of the MDs there and they were very nice. The main partner Tony Milbank is a nice older gentleman. Columbia/Dartmouth guy. Im just a lousy Baruch grad.
I actually had an interview there last week for an internship. Met with a partner there and while he was a little bit of a hard a**, he was professional and straightforward. The highlight was my meeting with a VP in corp finance that was cool and funny as hell. He gave me the real deal with no spin.
Can't speak for everyone in this forum but to me the people were no nonsense and upfront. That's all you can ask for in this economy when people are not really hiring but wasting your time. Don't know if they were jerkin my chain, but I really liked the place and the people. They also highlighted all the places their interns had landed including JP Morgan, KBW, private equity, and other spots.
I worked at Milbank Roy last summer and had a great time. They do a lot of work in Latin America and are very savvy in the Internet technology and marketing sectors.

What deals have they done in 2008 and 2009 and how many people work at this firm? From the looks of the site you get the feeling they have shut down because there are no tombstones and there is no employee directory.

Can't be trusted. If not in writing there is no deal.
WTF are you talking about? If something is not in writing it is NOT a deal.

Does anyone know anything about this firm? Has anyone worked or interviewed here?
