Need a job - will do anything Part 2

I am desperate for a job right now. I have a a double major in International Relations and Business from a Target uni (3.8 GPA). I was struggling recently with my girl and my job that I had and I ended up quitting before I got another.

As many will know, I have been struggling with interview anxiety as well. I know I can do the job but recently I've been almost afraid to show it and recruiting managers spot it a mile off.

Now I'm at a stage where I've been unemployed for almost 6 weeks. I've been living at home and it absolutely sucks. I've made various applications but even jobs that I know I will kill, they all come back with a no.

I'm 25 now. I was considering the Duke MMS this summer but decided against it. I have 2 years experience within research (equity and general business), solid excel skills, and general experience too like paralegal at a law firm.

I'm considering just applying to bullshit jobs like bookstores and retail. I'm that desperate. The one thing I have going for me (almost) is that I have dual nationality (British and US) and can apply out in London too. However, I am struggling. Anyone help with opps in London or out here?

There was a guy here by the name of Midas Mulligan Magoo..read his posts...get into a fight...take a girl by her arm and make out with her....cold call people..to live this life you have to become a tough son of a bitch

goodluck

6 weeks is not a long time, from the title I thought you were out of work for over 6 months at the very least. Judging from your background though, it doesn't seem focused at all. And what does experience in research, equity and general business, even mean?

By majoring in "business" people claim to know a little bit of everything, but in reality it means you know nothing. It's not specialized, what's your core skill?

It's cliche but practice makes perfect. I crush interviews now and even got an offer today, although they lowballed the tits off me.

My trick was having a whole "Bro I don't need these guys, they need me" attitude, helped me relax more

What that means is that I've done equity research exclusively and business as in legal research. I phrase it as business for it to apply to a variety of positions.

I didnt feel I needed to specialize when in college, thats what grad school if for. Core skill is probably research or government work (done tons of that during college)

Listen dude, you need to get your ass in gear. You've been on this site not to ask for knowledge, networking, or even ideas....it seems like you want someone to do it for you. You even HAD interviews and you didn't go. I don't know what your problem is, but you're being an asshole, and more to the point you're not getting anywhere.

Get some professional help: life coaches, psychologists, professional mentors....they can all help. It's ok to be undecided about what you want, but you have to be making some kind of effort somewhere. If you really are paralyzed with fear, get help. If you think it's too hard...just take a look at some of the cinderella stories here. If you don't want to do this, that's OK, really, find a career where you can succeed. But, "HELP I DON'T GO TO MY INTERVIEWS" works only once, now you need to start taking responsibility for yourself.

Get busy living
