Notre Dame (Mendoza) vs Boston College (Carroll) vs Boston University (Questrom) vs Northeastern (D'Amore McKim) UG Finance

So I was accepted into those 4 schools and I am leaning towards Mendoza but I am not sure since rankings are unreliable because of their inconsistency. Right now I'd like to get into IB (wherever). Thanks for giving advice !

ND is definitely a target for more banks / buy side firms but BC also has decent representation. You should consider the differences in social life though - ND is very isolated while BC is obviously outskirts of major city. Get familiar with ND's culture and make sure you are good with it because it isn't for everyone.

Money / culture / location aside, take ND.

IMO it comes down to BC or ND. BeastMode is right on target with what he said. Only thing that I would add to that is there are a good amount of offices in the city of Boston, especially in the MM and Boutique space and a lot of other areas of finance too. I'm not sure if its the same in Indiana, but having offices somewhat near is an advantage for recruiting, networking events, grabbing coffee with analysts, off cycle internships, etc. Also, proximity to NYC is an advantage, there are a few orgs at BC that organize trips to NYC every week during recruiting season. All that being said, I think culture/social life and cost to you trumps everything. I went to BC, feel free to ask any questions here or via pm

Notre Dame being near Chicago, I thought there would be a lot of opportunities there too and less competition because it's far from the Ivys, Stern, MIT....

ND is better, but it's very, very religious. I personally could not handle UG there. But if that's your scene, the brand and reputation of ND is bullet proof. Domers take care of Domers.

ND and BC are the two options, and I'd personally take BC by a mile.

ND places slightly better, but it's an absolute cult. It's very religious/homogeneous, and you will either LOVE it and wear ND gear at every social outing for the next 40 years/fly back for 2 football games a year or HATE it and transfer.

If you're unsure, spend a weekend at ND's campus

For future reference to those reading this. Yes Notre Dame is a better, more selective, more recognized brand, and better football team. If you are a person that has no regard to your happiness in college, ability to hook up with pretty girls, have a nice college experience, enjoy things besides your school's campus.. and only cares about placement, then by all means pick Notre Dame. If you are looking at the decision holistically, and will take into consideration other things besides brand and job placement while still holding those two factors up high, then Boston College definitely beats out Notre Dame.
