Now that there Street is fillwed with blood, what is the best move? Law School? Big 4?

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. There just aren't going to be many jobs to be had. You are about to go from five pure plays to two (Just MS and GS left). Also, if you aren't at a top, top school I believe you will have a very tough time getting a W$ job-it isn't even a certainty for those kids.

Don't forget that

Law School's getting record applications as is (same as MBA programs). A lot of recent Big Law grads are totally pumped that they got offers in the departments that deal with Finance. Unless you're doing bankruptcy or restructuring, those job are not safe either.

I know it's still very early on, but how many years would it take to recover from mess? Is a full recovery even plausible?

Accounting should be pretty steady, particularly with the upcoming transition to International Accounting Standards.

When I visited Switzerland

When I visited Switzerland both UBS and Credit Suisse had commercial banks all over the place. My friend who studied abroad for a semester in Switzerland even opened up a bank account with UBS.
