Ron Paul poised for a "meaningless" Iowa victory

I know there's been quite a few Ron Paul threads, but I figured I'd share this for those who are interested. It's PROOF that the GOP has already lined up ways to demote Ron Paul's possible victory in the Iowa caucus as "meaningless" and how it will be ignored by the major media outlets. And this is coming from CNN.

Funny how an Iowa victory was so important up until last week when Paul starting winning the polls.

If anyone can embed this, they are welcome to.

Kudlow and Company is finally starting to acknowledge that RP is a more credible candidate than Gingrich. He's got a set of die-hard supporters that will be able to help fund his campaign.

The way I see it if something doesn't happen by the Florida Primaries, it might just be Romney vs. Ron Paul.

Romney can probably count on the Northeastern states, maybe excluding Vermont. He will also have a bit of an advantage on the coasts.

Beyond that, I think RP can compete. Romney is the classic Northeastern neoconservative. Elite education from liberal professors, willing to cash out his values for political capital, oh, and he's going to get a lot of help from his buddies on Wall Street and owe them a lot of favors in return. Who wants TARP 2.0 during the next crash? Who wants to bail out the banks when Europe implodes? Who wants to go $20 Trillion into debt?

West of the Appalachians or south of Virginia, you won't see a lot of hands go up for that.

FL or SC is going to be absolutely critical for Ron Paul. If he can win in South Carolina, he can win just about anywhere between the coasts. I hope he's started organizing there.

I just watched a bunch of RP videos and absolutely love the guy. My issue is not with Paul, but with the people of this country. We get the elected officials we deserve and I am not sold that we deserve Ron Paul .

JeffSkillingI absolutely love the fact that Ron Paul is exposing the Republican party, and the 2 party monopoly in general right now. The republican establishment is trying to discredit a candidate because he wants to limit the size of government, something they want nothing to do with. All these parties want is more power and the sheep are finally breaking free of the pen.

Seriously, it's basically one party. They try to frame and magnify their differences, but really, neither of them give a shit about the American public. I hope RP wins. We might not deserve him, but we need him.

Hah! ANT, if you weren't living in a cave between 2000 and 2008, or 1968 and 1974 for that matter, you'll remember that liberal northeastern Republicans might make OK governors. They might make OK Senators and Congressmen.

THEY MAKE HORRIBLE PRESIDENTS. Worse, in fact, than liberals.

Given the choice between RP, Obama, and Romney, my first choice is RP, but my second is Obama. Obama might be a tax, borrow, and spend liberal like Romney, but at least he won't start any more unilateral wars.

Romney is George Bush with Nixon's smile.

No saying I think Romney is going to light the world on fire, just saying I don't think Americans are worthy of Ron Paul at this point.

I am a libertarian, I would love Paul. I am also a realist and I think too large a chunk of this country is 1) afraid of liberty and 2) more interested in government helping them or playing a part in their life.

LOL and here's yet another interview on CNN that just happened. This dude is on fire.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

john king is a piece of shit......all he did was try to downplay RP in that interview and discredit him. That interview was a disgrace to TV journalism and to the American people. I hope john king gets colon cancer and dies a prolonged painful death.

Yeah i didnt watch the full interview before i posted it. At least RP's getting airtime now

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

1.) Jack Cafferty is the man. That guy did Channel 11's 10pm news in NY for years and he's always been awesome. Straight up looks like he should have a cigarette in his hand and a glass of something on the table up front of him.

2.) How great are the Ron Paul ads? The production quality is so high and they're just straight brutal. Nothing but daggers. No punches pulled on his opponents and the dude wants to cut a TRILLION dollars in year one. Holy fucking shit. Want to get the deficit in order? Put this man in office!
