SA IBD Resume, Canadian non-target school

Hi all, I'm applying for summer analyst positions and I'd really value some feedback on how I can improve my resume.

I'm applying in Canada and the US but I'm not too optimistic about my odds of getting into the US, especially because I'm at a non-target Canadian school (UBC).

My resume can be found here: http://www.razume.com/documents/18262

Cheers

UBC isn't as bad as you make it out to be. I don't know much about the school but why don't you go for the Portfolio Management Program (or whatever it's called)? Your GPA seems high enough.

Capital Markets should not be a "personal interest." Do you really need a profile? I can tell by your resume you're a Sauder B. Comm student looking to break into finance. Moreover, what happens if you land an interview with any non-mining group or on the equities side? If I'm an interviewer I'm going to hold it against you that your resume states specific interests in mining and fixed income. Sure, apply for those groups, but as a college student, you should be willing to take any decent job you can, and tell the interviewer you're specifically interested in that group.
