Sending updated resume to a sort-of connection

2 months ago, I met an MD and she introduced me to an analyst, with whom I i had a phone conversation a few weeks later. During the phone call, he grilled me really hard on fit-based questions. But at the end said that the MD really liked me and that She wanted him to pass my resume along. So I obviously sent him my resume. Since then, I have made substantial improvements to my resume. Do you guys think that it would look bad to reply to my own email/ send a follow-up just telling the analyst that since sending him my resume I've made lots of changes and want to ensure that its most recent version is in the system, and attach the new resume?
