The Life of Julia

Obama's "Julia" Lives in a Welfare State Utopia

''The Obama campaign last week unveiled a new interactive feature supposedly showing how a fictional girl named "Julia" would benefit from President Obama's policies over the course of her lifetime.''

Really makes me sick how much government is involved in the "life" of Julia. And if Julia strays from the approved government course, watch out. Oh yeah, BTW, Life of Julia is funded by you and I, not the government.

I realize that both parties are essentially the same, but for godsake, Obama just makes me sick with this bullshit.

The scary part is the current administration is being serious with this

lol @ julia getting knocked up. Gotta love the "independent" types

The Julia thing is kind of creepy, when you think about it. From Reason.com:

One night Julia dreamed she was walking along the beach with the POTUS. Many scenes from her life flashed across the sky. In each scene, she noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints. Other times she only saw one set of footprints.

This bothered Julia because she noticed that during the low points of her life, when she was suffering from underemployment, student loan debt, and excessively high insurance copays, she could only see one set of footprints.

So Julia said to the POTUS: “You promised me POTUS that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, were you not there for me?

The POTUS replied, “The times when you have only seen one set of footprints is when I carried you.”

Stupid rehashing of 'Footprints'. Not really sure what this was supposed to demonstrate other than what we already know; nanny state ideal personified = Julia.

As always, Schiff has a solid, rational perspective on it. Molyneux also had a great take on this Julia nonsense, a bit of overlap with Schiff as to be expected, but he aptly points out that you don't need a goddamn college degree to become a fucking WEB DESIGNER, haha.

I like Molyneux a lot, but I hate that he dislikes Ron Paul. I know he a strict an-cap, but let's be real Paul is our best shot at any type of government-free society. Have you seen the video of Molyneux predicting in 08 how Obama would turn out as a President? It's scary accurate, he even called that Obama might eventually pull out of Iraq but if he did would just send in thousands of contractors to replace the troops, which is exactly what happened last year.
