Third Round Interview - NEED HELP!
I had two round of interviews with a company while still being employed, however in between the second round and the third round I had quit my job. I now have my third round interview where I will be meeting some people that are pretty high up in the company. I'm wondering if I should disclose that I am currently unemployed now or if it will ruin my chances of getting the job once they know I am currently unemployed. Please sound off in the comments!
If they don't ask don't tell them (and they're not going to ask if you still work there out of the blue). Why did you quit?
Actually, it might be best to be upfront and transparent right off the bat. They'll find out you're not employed during the background check and may question your character if you had not previously disclosed that you had quit.
Why did you quit?
Not sure why you would quit a job in the middle of a process with no other offer in hand. You now have very little leverage. I'm a fan of full disclosure and surely you'll be asked why you're looking for a job, what your prospects are at your current gig are, etc.,.... So it will probably come up. It's all in how you position it at this point.
