What to wear for VC interview?
Hi everyone, I have an interview for a venture capital internship interview in the Boston area, just wondering what I should be wearing? I know everyone there will be dressed pretty casual, will it look weird if I still go in a full suit and tie?
Thanks
Better be safe than sorry ...go with the full suit and tie bro.
Always suit and tie for an interview. How people normally dress in the office is irrelevant until you actually start working there.
Fun colored socks for pazzas. Some ideas below. Just to be conservative go with a solid color, but bright. http://www.paulstuart.com/product_info.cfm?ProdID=6350&ProdCatId=1012&M…
$40 socks... look nice but damn.
I recommend VIccel socks (in heavy winter weight b.c they are Turkish and still thin). They're ~13 bucks w/ free shipping (very slow shipping).
jorts and wife beater
navy or charcoal suit with black belt and shoes. Tie is a must I would say for most job interviews. Don't go casual.
Thanks guys, I'll go with the suit and tie then. Seems like there are a few VC guys here - do you have any suggestions what I can do to stand out? I've prepared the typical questions like why vc, why our firm, studied their portfolio companies / have investment ideas. Anything else I can do?
(oh and those colored socks look nice, I'll def get some when I'm out of school haha)
