What's the difference between a weekend MBA and full time MBA?
My plan is to do an MBA at the University of Michigan, but I'm not sure which one would be more beneficial for me. I'm leaning more towards the weekend since I could work full time to save money and take classes at the same time. Which would you recommend for me?
So I work as an accountant/auditor at a small firm in Michigan. My goal is to use my background in accounting along with the management background I would have gained through the MBA to transition into a corporate finance position (such as a senior financial analyst) at a F500 company. What's the difference between the weekend and the full time MBA, and which would be more aligned with my goals? Does a weekend MBA student still get the same job prospects as a full time student upon graduation?
Sent you a pm.
One is done on the weekend one is done full time
Evening/Weekend MBAs are for those that wish to remain with their current employer post-MBA. If you would like to make a transition, you're going to have to suck up the debt and opportunity cost and go full-time.
Agree with the above but do some research (talk to admissions) to see if you have any access to on campus recruiting through the weekend program. The general rule is full time is for career switchers and part time is for current company career progression.
