Harvard Engineering with Econ Minor - GPA: 3.4
Harvard Econ Major with Math Minor - GPA: 3.8
Both with same finance internships/activities/interests
*keeping in mind you would probably see a ton of econ majors, and it might bore you to death when you see it for the 40th time...

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee

Yep, they both pass the "smart enough" hurdle.
If you wanted to get really granular, it could depend on the bank. Some banks (moreso consulting firms) are picky with GPAs; still, I am having a hard time imagining anybody seriously knocking the intelligence of a 3.4 Harvard Eng major.
I never knew Harvard was good
I never knew Harvard was good for engineering. Take the econ major.

Depends on the job - I-banking they won't care, Hedge Fund they will test you.
Considering that most people change dramatically after their freshman year, I would say load up on some intro courses 21a,b (given your quant experience) SA 10 (2 semesters) ... and whatever else (gives you 4 more - expos - language(?) - a core or two) You could do stat 110 ... get a taste for harder math.
There, that's your first year.
