Who Would You Hire?

Harvard Engineering with Econ Minor - GPA: 3.4

Harvard Econ Major with Math Minor - GPA: 3.8

Both with same finance internships/activities/interests

*keeping in mind you would probably see a ton of econ majors, and it might bore you to death when you see it for the 40th time...

The one that interviewed better.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

Yep, they both pass the "smart enough" hurdle.

If you wanted to get really granular, it could depend on the bank. Some banks (moreso consulting firms) are picky with GPAs; still, I am having a hard time imagining anybody seriously knocking the intelligence of a 3.4 Harvard Eng major.
