Would you be OFFENDED if someone emailed you without your approval?

Would you be offended that someone stalked u and applied to a position you posted at a target school but that person isn't actually from that school? (i.e., he saw the posting at another school and found his way to email you his resume anyways), or would you be impressed?

It's funny how our hero (well, for most of us), Ronald Reagan, went to Eureka College in Illinois. As president, a reporter asked him one time if he regretted not having attended a top university. His response: "Just imagine what I could have accomplished if I had gone to Harvard."

Nevertheless, yeah, it would probably annoy me if I were on the receiving end of that email (so far it's just been alumni e-mailing me, so it hasn't ever come up). But you have nothing to lose. Don't worry about being blackballed--few people spend more than 10 seconds on a resume and would no doubt either not read your name or not remember it within 10 minutes.
